Silica is a compound made of oxygen and silicon and is used for various purposes, such as the manufacture of glass and ceramics such as porcelain, as a desiccant to absorb moisture that may be present in any location where it is applied, or as a catalyst in the process of producing sulfuric acid.
That's why our company uses this material for glassmaking, which, along with various raw materials, is used to make different types of glass. This process involves melting the ingredients in a furnace to create liquid crystal. The glass sheet then rests on top of the tin and solidifies. The glass is then heated again to cool slowly and prevent cracks. A diamond cuts the glass, and the resulting sheets are then stored.
Porcelain is another of the manufacturing possibilities we have with silica, which we carry out in our factory, where we have professionals who carry out this task with the greatest possible efficiency.
Silica is also used for blasting sand, so that it absorbs all the necessary moisture.
Swimming pools are a great opportunity to test silica sand's moisture-absorbing capacity, and we're experts at using it.
